In-Home Design Services
Breathe new life into your home with the assistance of a professional designer backed by a staffed workroom.
Every project is unique and differs in scope. We’ll help you get the look you want, and address your needs for the space. Whether a new build, a renovation or decorating a new space, this service can take you right through the design process and construction, to a beautifully decorated home.
An initial consultation is the first step — two hours/$250. At this first meeting, we’ll review plans or evaluate your home, needs and style. Complete measurements and full assessment takes place. Soon after, you will be presented with a personalized and custom design scheme, floor plan and necessary swatches and samples. (Product selection will not be limited to www.MilieuHomeGoods.com. Additional design fees will apply).
Custom scheme may include the following, based on budget and scope of project:
• Custom or stock furniture and case goods
• Soft goods (pillows, window treatments, rugs)
• Lighting
• Accent furniture (such as occasional tables, ottomans)
• Paint color or wall covering
• Wall décor
• Revisions/recommendations to architect plans
Add-ons may be available for additional fees:
• Designer installation — we’ll decorate your room(s) while you’re out!
• Window treatment installations
• Order processing and delivery management

INTERIOR DESIGN – KITCHEN WITH LOUNGE, STEPHANIE: Major kitchen remodel. New wood cabinets and wood floors needed to be brightened up by incorporating a mix of materials. Clean solid surface Caesarstone countertops accented with Danby marble backsplashes works well with the natural ledgestone fireplace we designed. All furnishings selected are family friendly, fresh and brightens up the expansive space.
INTERIOR DESIGN – LIVING ROOM, DEANIE: After an extensive remodel, our busy client just wanted a comfortable room for her and her daughter. It needed to be designed in a cozy “new” country style.
INTERIOR DESIGN – MASTER BEDROOM, FRAN: Our client had built a new home and was exhausted with the process. They called Milieu in to treat themselves of a master retreat that was calming, functional and fabulous. We incorporated rustic woods with sleek accents for a cozy glam look.
INTERIOR DESIGN – LIVING ROOM, STEPHANIE: A formal living room to feel cool and calm. Choose fabrics that work with a large family of young children. Incorporate a table to play chess at.
INTERIOR DESIGN – POWDER ROOM, STEPHANIE: Remodel outdated foyer powder room to make a grand entrance. Modern, clean and cool was our direction. We used a mosaic marble floor with a 6″ Thasos border. Incorporated contemporary fixtures but warmed it up with wallpaper and an unexpected light fixture.

E-DESIGN – LIVING ROOM, ADALINE: An Australian native looking to incorporate a global feel into her NYC apartment.
E-DESIGN – FAMILY ROOM, SHERYL: We brought our client’s bohemian personality into her family room while still achieving high style and quality pieces.
E-DESIGN – DINING ROOM, GLORIA: The inspiration for our clients dining room started with a pair of treasured vases and the idea of cozy bench seating.
E-DESIGN – BIG GIRL ROOM, JEVIN: A toddler needed a fun make over to transition into her “big girl room”. Our client wanted a “junk gypsy” look inspired by our cirque collection. Indeed, we had a lot of fun with this project!
E-DESIGN – FAMILY ROOM, DAN: We had a new bachelor on our hands. He wanted a comfortable place to hang his hat and that welcomes him at the end of a long day. Furnishings also had to be durable for when the kids spend the weekends.

RE-ACCESSORIZE – LIVING ROOM, NORA: Our client wanted a fresh update. After neutralizing her room and painting out the space in a light grey, she felt the space was too cold and lacked personality. We turned up the personality a few notches with bright fabrics! We used rich jacquards in ethnic motifs, embroidered fabrics, stripes and beautiful plains.
RE-ACCESSORIZE – LIVING & DINING ROOM, JILL: A home near the water receives a beachy accessory update. Viola!
RE-ACCESSORIZE – FAMILY ROOM, SUE: This client inherited a large colorful antique rug but was stumped as to how to work it in with existing furnishings and needed new pieces as well. We kept the color palette neutral but added interest with the play of black and white and picked up the red in the rug.
