New boutique home goods store opens in Mamaroneck
Milieu, pronounced [mil-yoo], in French means the totality of one’s surroundings and that is just what this boutique has to offer. The boutique carries furniture and accessories for every room of the house. Milieu limits the stock of each item and continually gets in new merchandise to provide customers with ever changing pieces and the ability to truly personalize their home.
Some of the more unique items include a copper top kitchen island, a wooden wine cabinet that resembles an old fashioned ice box refrigerator, hand crafted iron beds and a black and white houndstooth settee that is paired with an old door dining table. Over 400 fabrics and leathers are available to customize all of the upholstered furniture. There is an array of distinct accessories. Interesting artwork and unique mirrors adorn the store. Earth friendly products include drinking glasses that are repurposed wine and beer bottles and hand painted dishes from recycled glass. In addition, the boutique carries bedding, curtains, decorative pillows and table linens. And if you are looking for a memorable gift, Milieu carries that too.
Founder of Milieu, Danielle Iaboni, is inspired by timeless classics, European flair, vintage finds and modern trends. She is able to blend these inspirations into a fresh look that is stylish yet comfortably familiar. Danielle has a good eye and a great decorating style.
Milieu is a fabulous addition to Mamaroneck Ave. Come in and let your eyes feast on the latest home fashions and accessories.
